Since 1983 Lanterna Magica has been making feature movies and TV series that have contributed to give more characters to the cartoon world: in our offices, the big house of the cartoon, dogs, bears, geese and cats, chameleons and whales, little seagulls and pigs, crocodiles and ganders are born. It’s a patient and long job. Months and months, with pencils and brushes, for making hundreds of characters: an artist and his crocodile started to cry and a cat started to purr; a background artist and trees, leaves, houses and building started to born; an animator and immediately dogs and leverets ran on the grass. Then a colouring artist painted the cat’s nose in pink; a composer made a music from a fall of notes; a dubber gave the voice to chickens, crocodiles, whales... let’s say a smashing life for the characters of our cartoon.
